Boarding
At Shelby Oaks Farm, we provide the best care for your horse at an affordable price.  Our facility has a 15 12x12 stall barn, tack room, wash rack, and tack up areas.  On this beautiful 18 acres,  there are  4 large and 3 smaller turn-out pastures with an abundance of rye grass. In the center is a 150' x250' riding arena that is know for its great footing.  At Shelby Oaks our facility offers quality services.  We use Dr. Neff with Southern Equine Services for our farm calls and emergencies for serious injuries we use Dr. Murray with Coosa Valley Equine. For our shoeing needs we have a on-site farrier. Tom Saunders has been shoeing for 9 years and is an AFA Certified Farrier. 
Regular Board:    $400/month
Feeding Twice Daily (quailty feed and hay)
Stall Care
Daily Turn-out (private is extra, geldings and mares are seperated)
Blanketed when temp. drops below 50 degrees
We supply brushes, shampoo, show sheen, etc.
This does not include any lessons, training. or extra services









Partial Training Board:   $650/month

Plus 3 training sessions weekly (for example: 2 lessons and 1 ride/ or 3 rides weekly)
Grooming (mane pulled and faced clipped) monthly
De-wormer provided


Full Training Board:   $800/month

Private turn-out or only turn-out with one other horse, if requested

We provide a program that will teach our riders confidence, responsibility, competitiveness, and safety. We strive to give them the confidence to reach their greatest potiental in competiton.  We welcome children and adults with skill levels ranging from beginner to advanced.  If you do not have your own horse, don't worry, we have plenty of school horses for you to learn on.

We offer private or group lessons. Although if you are a beginner, we like our new riders to have private lessons.  We want to make sure that each rider learns the basics of riding correctly and safely. Such things as how to: groom, tack up, walk, steer, stop, and trot.  Once the instructor feels like the rider has achieved these tasks, the rider will be placed in a group. Training
Here at Shelby Oaks, we want our horses to have a good foundation.  Everything from good ground manners to winning in the show ring.  Each horse is different, so we make sure each horse has a specific program that works for that particular horse.

Horse Shows: (AHJA & “A” rated shows)
Schooling Fee (at shows): $50.00 per horse
Showing a Horse:      $15.00 per class
Training Rides (at show & home):    $25.00 per ride
Lunging:           $10.00
Care & Supervision:   $35.00 per day
-Includes all stall care, feeding, and supples.
Tack and Grooming Stalls: Split between customers
Braiding:           $30-$40 per job

Shipping:
Local:       $50 per horse
    -Such as: Longview Farms, The Rise, El Gezira, and Hidden Hills E.C.
Long Distance:$1.75 per mile/ divided among trailer load

Grooming:
Body Clipping: $135.00 horses
               $85.00 ponies
Trim(face & ears):    $15.00
Mane Pulled:   $15.00
Bathing:          $10.00



  *We keep track of when the horses need to be de-wormed, vaccinated, and shod.
